More About Dr. Brian Hu, PT, DPT

He developed a niche for treating complex spine related cases, and his practice thrived while working in a clinic setting. During the pandemic, he began treating his mother within her home. The positive experience working with her spurred his interest in treating other patients in a similar manner. To accomplish this, he founded Physical Therapy Direct, a mobile physical therapy company, in January 2021.

Aside from his clinic duties, he appears as a guest lecturer at both the Washington University and University of Missouri physical therapy programs. His manual therapy expertise affords students the ability to learn advanced techniques before they set off into their own practice. Moreover, he acts as a mentor for physical therapists participating in manual therapy residency and fellowship training programs.

“Dr. Gorman did a great job reviewing my case in east Tennessee. He was very timely in reviewing materials we sent him and also recognized several medical issues which we previously missed. We settled not long before trial, but Dr. Gorman exhibited an excellent preparation level and was definitely ready to testify.”
